Berry Crumble

This dessert is the easiest yet it’s so delicious and mouthwatering! It will also make a great healthy breakfast option.

Yields: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 500 grams mixed fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries etc)
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1-2 tablespoons raw brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 100 grams dairy-free butter, cubed

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and butter a baking tin. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Add butter and rub with your hands until crumbs form.
  2. In a bowl combine berries with corn starch. Transfer to the prepared baking tin. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned. Enjoy!

Note

Have it as it is or serve with ice cream and more fresh berries if desired.
