Breakfast Porridge with Strawberry Puree and Peanut Butter

This warm, creamy and colourful vegan porridge bowl makes an ideal breakfast for busy mornings.

  • 400 ml oat milk
  • 250 ml water
  • 100 g porridge oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Toppings:
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon cacao nibs
  • 1 tablespoon almond flakes
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • more fresh strawberries


  1. In a sauce pan combine oat milk and water together, bring to a boil. Add in oats, vanilla and cinnamon. Simmer for 5 minutes, then take away from the heat, cover with a lid and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile place strawberries and maple syrup into a blender and pulse until smooth. Divide porridge between two serving bowls, pour the strawberry puree over, add peanut butter and the toppings. Enjoy right away.
