Chocolate Porridge with Caramelized Bananas

Let breakfast be your favourite meal of the day. Wake up to this creamy chocolate porridge with caramelized bananas and coconut.

  • 400 ml soy milk
  • 250 ml water
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • 1 tablespoon organic cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons raw brown sugar
  • 1 large banana, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, for serving
  • coconut flakes, for serving


  1. In a sauce pan combine soy milk and water together, bring to a boil. Add in oats, vanilla and cacao powder. Simmer for 5 minutes, then take away from the heat, cover with a lid and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add in sugar and stir until sugar has melted and the mixture is bubbling. Add in sliced bananas and let them sauté for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown for about 2 minutes.
  3. Serve porridge warm with caramelized bananas and coconut flakes, drizzled with maple syrup. Enjoy!
