Creamy Cacao Oatmeal Banana Muffins

Start your day with these healthy oatmeal muffins bursting with creamy cacao and banana taste. For this recipe I used my favourite protein powder from Botanika Blends with creamy cacao crunch flavour.

  • 2 cups self-raising whole meal flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup creamy cacao protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon all spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 2/3 cup oat milk
  • 1/2 cup cacao nibs


  1. In a medium bowl combine flour, oats, protein powder, all spice and baking powder. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl mash bananas with sugar together. Add in coconut oil and milk, mix until combined. Add in dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  3. Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a 12-muffin baking tin. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups filling them to half way. Sprinkle tops with cacao nibs. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking tin for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
