Creamy Carrot Cake Breakfast Porridge

Creamy breakfast porridge that tastes like carrot cake. The first meal of the day doesn’t get better than this. You can use any milk of your choice for this recipe, I used unsweetened almond milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • Toppings:
  • walnuts
  • chia seeds
  • cacao nibs
  • cranberries
  • puffed millet
  • peanut butter

Method

  1. Put oats, milk and the rest of the ingredients in a pan over medium heat. Cook for about 5 mins until thick and creamy.
  2. Serve warm with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
