Vegan French Toast with Caramelised Apples and Walnuts
A super decadent way to start your day. Try this indulgent vegan French toast with caramelised apples and walnuts.

3 tablespoons dairy-free butter
2 apples, sliced
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
1 teaspoon all spice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 tablespoon maple syrup
6 slices of bread
1/4 cup walnuts, for serving
In a sauce pan over medium heat melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add apples, sugar, all spice and cinnamon. Cook for 10 minutes until golden brown.
In a medium bowl whisk both milks, vanilla, corn starch and maple syrup together. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat. Dip each bread slice into the mixture, coating well on each side. Place bread slices into a pan and cook until browned on the bottom. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Repeat for all bread slices. Serve with caramelised apples and walnuts. Enjoy!
