Teriyaki Cauliflower and Brown Rice Bowl

A perfect and easy recipe for a lunch or weeknight dinner. Crispy fried cauliflower in homemade Teriyaki sauce, served with brown rice.

  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • For the Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or rice syrup
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • fresh parsley, for serving
  • sesame seeds, for serving


  1. Cook the rice according to the package directions. In a jar combine all the Teriyaki sauce ingredients, close the lid and give the jar a good shake.
  2. Place cauliflower florets in a bowl and pour over the sauce. Toss until all the florets are evenly coated. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add cauliflower florets and cook for 10-15 minutes until cooked through and crispy brown.
  3. Serve warm with brown rice, garnished with fresh parsley and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
