Baked Potato Wedges with Saffron and Moroccan Spices

Easy oven baked potato wedges with saffron and moroccan spices. Enjoy as a great side dish or snack.

  • 6 medium white potatoes, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon saffron
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for serving
  • 1 mashed avocado, for serving


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Cut potatoes into your desired thickness and length.
  2. Place potatoes in a large bowl, toss with oil and species until the potatoes are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange wedges on the prepared baking tray and bake for 10 minutes. Flip them over, and cook for an additional 10 to 12 minutes. Remove once the edges slightly begin to brown. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm with mashed avocado and enjoy!
