Baked Sweet Potato Chips

  • 5 sweet potatoes, peeled if desired
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly-cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasonings
  • fresh parsley, hummus or tomato sauce, for serving


  1. Preheat the oven to 200C. Cut the potatoes into your desired thickness and length.
  2. Place potatoes in a large bowl, and toss with the oil, salt, garlic powder, pepper, Italian herbs and cayenne until the potatoes are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the chips evenly over the tray, and bake for 10 minutes. Flip them over, and cook for an additional 10 to 12 minutes. Remove once the edges slightly begin to brown.
  4. Sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve warm with hummus and enjoy!
