Cheesy Vegemite Pastries

  • 4 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 tablespoons vegemite
  • 1/2 cup grated dairy-free cheese
  • 1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Cut each puff pastry sheet in halve and spread each half with 1 teaspoon of vegemite. Top with grated cheese and basil leaves. Starting from the long side roll up puff pastry into a tight log and cut in a half lengthwise. Twist the halves together like a rope and shape into a knot. Repeat with the remaining puff pastry sheets and ingredients.
  2. Arrange pastries on the prepared baking tray and bake for 20 minutes until golden. Serve and enjoy!
